Our Rigorous 6 Step Screening Process Makes Sure Not 1 Slacker Gets Through The Cracks.

  1. Application Verification- We go through the application and check for any holes or where we think that a person could be “Fudging.” After a few thousand you can see potential problems from a mile away.
  2. Initial Interview- If we find the application to be sound and secure we invite the associate to have an interview with one of our hiring specialists to further determine eligibility. We then go through and test for personality, people skills, and also do a basic background check.
  3. Skills Assessment- If they have passed an interview and our Internal Review board approves a prospective associate, we will ask them to continue the selection process, at which time we will do a skills assessment test. The skills test is different for each person and field they are applying for, sometimes requiring 3-4 tests for the same applicant.
  4. In Depth Background Check- If a person has made it this far we will do a more intensive background check similar to that of a person trying to get licensed and bonded in Texas. We go into financial credit, prior work employment, drug, criminal, and also driving history and background.
  5. Computer Profiling System- We will then put them in our computer profiling system and they will be rated upon all the steps before and will receive a score on skills, background, time availability, people skills, etc. This makes it easy for you to match up the situation you are looking for with the people that we have.
  6. Decision- We will make one of 3 decisions. We will choose not to hire a person. We will hire them as a Staff Works Associate, or we will hold them as a Staff Works Candidate.

Background Test To Assure It Won’t Happen With Us.

  1. 50 State Criminal Test- Most placement agencies only do a criminal background test for Texas. This means if a person is convicted of a crime in another state and moves here, they wouldn’t know. StaffWorks does a full criminal background test from all 50 states. If an applicant has every had a run in with the law, regardless of the state, we will know.

  2. Multi- Panel Drug Test- We use a full panel urine drug test which test for drugs taken in the last month. Beware of companies that say they use a saliva test because this only checks for the past 12 hours.

  3. Personality Test- We do a personality assessment to assure you hire people that are friendly, have good people skills, and can handle the different tasks that you will give. This is a great way to see if a person can handle deadlines, stress, or situations where your business name is being represented.

  4. Skills Test- We have over 800 different skills assessment tests that allow us to profile the different skills an associate has. You will know exactly what our associates can accomplish, how quickly, and more importantly, what they can’t.

  5. Income Assessment- We do a past employment assessment of where applicants worked previously, how they performed and if it was all legal. If a person hasn’t worked much or their past income records are incomplete chances are pretty good that they will be poor workers or slack off and cost you time and money.
